Can I wash my wig?
There are many superior products on the market, some of which we will
soon carry, but should you have trouble obtaining them, here's a tip
that works very well. Fill a basin, or sink with cool water. Add a
small amount of a mild shampoo and place your wig in the basin. Swish
gently, and rinse completely. Then refill your basin or sink and put 2
capfuls of a premium fabric softener. Let it soak for at least 5
minutes (the longer the better) and rinse well. Not only will the
fabric softener condition your wig, it will also smell great! Hang your
wig upside down on a hanger and let it air dry. Do not brush or comb it
until it's completely dry. When it's dry you can style as normal.
Can I curl my wig?
Yes, as
long as you use any rollers that do not involve heat! The only rollers
you can use with heat are steam rollers. In fact you can even use
ordinary sponge rollers and set them with a clothing steamer. Just
don't use any curling, or flat irons...or any irons at all! They will
melt the fibers of your wig and it will be irreparable.
What style is right for me?
Your hairstyle reflects your individuality, so this answer will be
different for everyone. Keep in mind though, a bang is usually
softening, lighter colors tend to be youthful, and highlights, tips and
multitones add dimension and realistic qualities.
How do I choose a color?
There are rules of thumb concerning matching warm toned skins to golden
or strawberry tones, and those with cool tones skins should stick to
neutral or ash tones, but really there is no right or wrong. Have fun,
and experiment with shades that suit your personality. If you want to
be safe, stick with tones that are close to your natural hair coloring,
but consider adding multi tones or highlights along with it. That will
give you an idea of what other colors will compliment you, while
remaining within the range of what you already know works for you.
Is human hair better than synthetic hair?
The
thought that human hair is superior to synthetic hair is a widely
believed misconception. We have shopped a number of wig lines to assure
that these are some of the best quality fibers on the market today. The
advantages of synthetic hair are no effect from the elements (human
hair will frizz or lose it's style), it offers more volume, it's easier
to was and dry, it's less likely to knot, and when you experience the
lights and heat on stage, human hair will quickly lose it's style.
I looked at Jesse Volt's web site. Her wigs seem fuller than mine. Why?
Aside from the fact that Jesse Volt is a professional stylist,
experience has taught her that sometimes two wigs are better than one!
Wigs are designed to look natural, and when you are on stage, you want
to look larger than life! Jesse wears bigger hair, heavier makeup, and
more elaborate costumes to help meet that goal. Next time you have a
special event, a stage appearance, or even a photo shoot, think about
putting two wigs together, no matter where you purchase them. Just be
mindful that the colors are the same, and that the styles are
complimentary. Why does the color seem different than the picture on the color chart?
Due to the difference in everyone's monitors colors may look slightly
different than what is on our chart. There should not be that much
variation though to cause any problems. How do I put on a wig?
Start by brushing your own hair back and place a wig cap over your
head. Hook the two plastic hooks on your wig together, after you have
adjusted it to fit. Put the front part of your wig on first, and then
pull it over the back. I do this by putting my head upside down. Align
the tabs on the side of your wig with your temples. Use bobby pins to
pin your hair to your wig cap, and hide the pins within the hair.
What color wig cap should I get?
When choosing the color of the cap, you should choose the color of the
cap that is close to the color of the wig not the color of your hair.
The purpose of wearing the wig cap is not only to hold your own hair
securely but to cover your hair so it wouldn't show through.
How do I style a wig?
All
of our wigs come pre-styled and should easily fall into place. Use a
wide tooth comb or wig pick, instead of a brush, and limit the use of
styling products. The alcohol in these products will lessen the life of
your wig. Will the wig fit my head?
Our wigs come with adjustable wig treatment straps that will custom fit the wig to your head.

How do I determine what size I need?
Choose the style and size of form from the suggested below.
The
proper size breast form is generally determined by the bra and cup size
determined by your bra measurements. The fitting guide (see chart
below) will help you choose the right size. Symmetrical forms fit both
the right or left side and can be turned in different directions for
the best fit. Asymmetrical forms only fit the right or the left side
and fit only one
way.

You
will notice 2 number choices next to each side. It is Jesse's
experience that the lower number is a much more accurate guideline, and
the larger number is somewhat exaggerated. If you have questions please be sure
to ask. We are always happy to help and since contour is not
exchangeable it's better to ask questions before you order.
Are these Breastforms guaranteed?
Yes!
They are warrantied for at least 2 years from date of purchase,
although in our opinion, if you take appropriate care they will last
for years more than that!
How should I put on the forms?
If you are wearing a bra:
• Lower the bra strap on one side.
• Pull the cup away from the chest wall.
• Insert the form from the inside top of the cup. Turn the
form in the direction that best fills the bra cup and looks the most
natural.
• Adjust the strap on each side.
Look
at the fit. Both sides should match and the bra cup should cover the
breastforms completely. The breastforms' top taper should prevent
clothing from sinking in. Each form should fill and not bulge at the
top of the cup; plus the forms should settle into the bottom of the
cup. The straps should not cut into the shoulders.
If the forms are too big, too small, or do not fill where they need to fill, try another
bra style.
If you are using our medical grade adhesive tape:
Use
one tape at the top of the breast form. Cut another in half and place
one half at each side. You will need more tapes for larger forms.
Results will depend on how well your chest is cleaned. It is very
important to wash and dry your chest well before application. Use an
astringent or witch hazel to rid your chest of any oils. We do not
recommend the adhesive tape for those with hair on their chests.
Although it is rare, it is inevitable that someone will find this
product irritating due to an allergy or skin sensitivity. This is a
hypoallergenic medical grade product.
How do I clean and care for my breastforms ?
To
clean your silicone breasts, wash gently in lukewarm water with a very
mild soap. Dry with a soft towel - do not wring or rub and avoid using
powder, perfume or hot water directly on your silicone breasts.
Take
care with sharp objects close to your silicone breasts. Fingernails,
pins, brooches, scissors or pets claws can all cause permanent damage
to the soft film surrounding the silicone.
When you
are not wearing your silicone breasts, keep them in the boxes provided
and away from direct heat. This will help to prevent accidental harm.
It is important to handle your silicone breasts gently when inserting
or removing them from your bra, as repeated squeezing or pulling may
cause damage over time.
Can I wear any bra with my breastforms?
You
will find that all shapes of forms do not fit in every bra. That is
part of the reason we have chosen to carry specific breast form bras.
You do not have to wear a bra specifically for breastforms, but you
should wear ones that offer support, wires for larger forms (they take
the weight off your shoulders), and full coverage. That doesn't mean
your bra need not be sexy though.
There are some
tried and true bra secrets many woman know. Bras should fit right, be
cared for, and not be uncomfortable. If they are uncomfortable, you
probably have the wrong fit. The way your bra fits could influence the
way your breastforms feel. The bra should hold your breast form snugly
against your body. If your bra is too loose or stretched, the
breastforms will sag and feel heavier than it should; if your bra is
too tight, the band will feel uncomfortable and the forms will be more
obvious. Bras usually have a 3-6 month life before they start losing
elasticity due to normal wear and washing. Do not ever put your
intimates, especially bras in the dryer. That is a sure fire way to
quickly lessen the life of your bra.
Do I have to wear a bra?
We
do also offer medical grade double stick adhesive tape. Use one tape at
the top of the breast form. Cut another in half and place one half at
each side. You will need more tapes for larger forms. Results will
depend on how well your chest is cleaned. It is very important to clean
your chest. Use an astringent or witch hazel to rod your chest of any
oils. We do not recommend the adhesive tape for those with hair on
their chests. Although it is rare, inevitably someone will find this
product irritating due to an allergy or skin sensitivity. This is a
medical grade product, so chances are slim that it may happen, but we
cannot guarantee against that happening. Use each piece of tape up to
three times, remove only when you want to take off your breastforms!
If I use the double sided tape to attach my forms, how do I detach them?
It is easily removed and cleaned with mild soap and water.
Why choose silicone forms?
The higher-grade breastforms are made from silicone. Silicone flows and
drapes just like natural tissue. You want your breasts to pass the "hug
test", where only the wearer will know she is wearing a breastform.
Only silicone can do that. |

How do I fit a bra?
Begin by using this formula:
Measure
around the body underneath where the natural breast tissue joins the
body. Take a snug measurement. (This would be where the band of the bra
would be.) Make sure your tape is straight across your back. Look in a
mirror, or ask a friend!
Add 5" to this measurement
(3" for measurements over 39"). Example: 31" + 5" = 36" would be a size
36 bra, or if 39" + 3" = 42" for a size 42 bra.
If
after adding 5" or 3" there is an uneven measurement, go up or down to
the next even size. Example: 32" + 5" = 37", start with a size 38 bra
(depends on the elasticity of the bra style).
This is the bra band or girth size to start with. You may need to go up
or down a size because this measurement is only a guideline. Consider
height, weight and figure type. If the customer is 5'10" tall and a
42-46 bra size, generally choose a C, D, or DD cup bra. If a size 34,
36 or 38 bra choose a cup that balances the figure like a B or C cup.
The Band
The bra band should be snug, but not tight, using the middle set of
hooks to fasten the bra. With a proper fit, you should be able to
comfortable insert 1 finger under the band on each side, front and
back. If the band rides up in the back, this is an indication the bra
is too large.
The Straps
The straps should fit snugly without cutting into the shoulders and
sides. You should be able to get two fingers under the strap. Women who
are large breasted should always wear a bra with wider straps.
Underwire bras can help take some of the pressure off the shoulders.
The Cups
The cups should not force the breasts toward the sides or the center.
There should be a natural looking separation of the breasts. The center
portion of the bra should lie flat against the chest wall between the
breasts. If the cup is not filled out or if it wrinkles, a smaller
size, fiberfill or contour cup may work better. If the breast form
overflows, a larger cup or a style with more coverage is suggested. The
underarm area should lie smooth without cutting into the flesh.
To test the fit of a bra sit down and take a deep breath. Does the bra
feel binding? If so, it may be too snug. Too loose? Maybe the next size
down would be better.
Remember: A bra should be comfortable if you have the correct fit.
How do I wear a gaff?
Method
1. Lying down, pull the gaff up to your upper thighs. The wide part
should be facing the front and the thinner part is in the back. Put
your testicles up into your abdominal cavity. You can do this by simply
holding each testicle and gently pushing until you find the opening for
the cavity. Once you have both testicles up, hold them there in front
(you will be able to feel them protruding around your public hair) and
tuck your penis between your legs and pull your gaff up. You should now
have a flat appearance in front. If you are wearing tight fitting
clothes- this method is best. If you obtain an erection using the
method, it will cause pain so be careful.
Method 2. When you are not wearing tight fitting clothing and want a
somewhat smoother appearance in your genital area, simply put on the
gaff and push your penis down flat-but you do not have to put your
testicles into the abdominal cavity.
How do I put on the hosiery?
For
waist high legwear, the best way to put it on is to sit down and hold
the garment up by the waistband with both hands so that it faces the
same way you are. Now gather the fabric of the right leg in both hands
so that your thumbs are in the toe of the garment, and put your foot
directly into the toe area of the garment. Pull the fabric over your
foot and up your leg over your knee, using your fingertips, but NOT
your fingernails. Do the same thing with your left leg. Now stand up
and alternately pull the fabric up over your hips and waist, adjusting
for a smooth and comfortable fit as you go.
How should I wash my pantyhose and intimate apparel?
Hosiery
and intimate apparel should be washed by hand with delicates wash or a
mild soap and line dried. This will prolong the elasticity of the
fabrics. The average lifespan of a bra is four to six months of daily
use. Proper care extends the lifetime of the garment.
How can I hide my leg hair without shaving?
The
easy answer is of course, just wear opaque hose, or slacks, but most
girls I know, including myself want to show off those legs! Shaving my
legs isn't something I'm interested in, I've tried it, but it's not for
me. No big deal, except that I am Italian…need I say more? I wear 2
pair or Danskin hose in light toast, (If you have lighter hair than me,
chances are you can get away with one pair) a pair of sheer to waist
hose on top, and I like to wear Danskin nude fishnets on top of that.
The nude fishnets aren't necessary, I do it for fashion, but also I do
it because they have a light support to them, and help shape my legs
into a more feminine look. So, yes, I wear 4 pair of hosiery, but many
with hair can get away with as little as two. Another advantage of
wearing all of this hosiery is that it helps to keep all of your male
business in place where you want it to stay!
How durable is the hosiery you sell?
Our
Danskin hose are manufactured specifically for the professional dancer,
and thus are very durable. We chose to carry the professional line,
rather than their standard line because of their resilience. They are a
little pricey, but you will see they are well worth it. |

What is the difference between Patent, PU, stretch and leather?
Patent,
either patent leather or patent PU (PU being a man made material) has
an almost mirror like appearance. PU, short for polyurethane is an
animal friendly semi-shiny to non-shiny material designed to be less
expensive than leather. Stretch (patent or PU) is a material, which
allows it to fit the contours of the feet, or legs and leather, usually
having a comfortable feel with a slight texture and is the highest
quality product used to manufacture our shoes.
Does PU stretch?
It will stretch slightly, but not as much or as quickly as leather.
Can I change the batteries in my light up shoes?
Yes! Just email us, and we will arrange a replacement battery order for you, and send you instructions in how to do it.
There was a small spot of glue on my shoe. How can I remove it?
Ordinary lighter fluid does the trick quickly and easily.

Why do you only sell Dermablend Foundation?
There
is nothing on the market that is comparable. Dermablend is less oily
then panstick, it will not move around your face or give the "drip
like" feeling panstick gives. It gives maximum coverage, for
beards. For the stage performer there is nothing like it for a flawless
finish in front of the footlights.
How do I put on Dermablend?
Rub
the product between your fingers to soften before applying. For
extra coverage & tough beards place the Dermablend jar in
your microwave on low for 20-30 seconds to liquefy
product or heat up product using a blow dryer on low
power, med to high heat. Let cool, and then apply. Two
shades are recommended, one closest to your natural skin tone and
one 1 shade lighter to highlight your face in the cheekbone
area, chin & forehead. This will give your skin a natural
tone on tone look. Remember to apply Dermablend to your neck and
blend down to your collarbone so there is no line of
demarcation. Do not forget to use a setting powder. This is an
absolute necessity and a step you just can't skip.
For a step-by-step pictorial guide, click here!
How can I get full looking lips?
Using
lip pencil draw lip line SLIGHTLY above your natural lip
line. Apply lip tint. Using a lighter lip tint shade or
a medium foundation, apply a touch to your inner center lip area
to give dimension
How can I avoid tweezing my eyebrows?
Simply
cover them dear! Using nose/scar putty, mustache wax, or our very
own "SHE GLUE". Applying "She Glue" to the area of the eyebrow you
want temporally eliminated. Let dry completely, a second coat may
be needed. Apply Dermablend shade over top dried area, finishing
with loose powder, draw on desired eyebrow shape with a
eyebrow pencil that is somewhat close to your hair coloring for a
more natural look.
What do you recommend for removing makeup?
My
first choice is the Dermablend remover we sell on our site, but in a
pinch you can use baby oil as well. I don't like using baby oil because
it's so greasy and gets in my eyes, and you will need an astringent
after, but baby oil is an effective remover.
I'm not sure how to apply the cosmetics; can you tell me how?

licensed cosmetologist and hair stylist for over 20 years. You will get

How do I keep my clip-on earrings from falling off?
The
best way to not loose a bauble is to put a dab of "She Glue" on your
earring backs and hold until completely dry. For the entertainer:
a small dot of brush on nail glue. I do not suggest you use crazy glue,
as it is not formulated for the body and the toxins in it are harmful
to your skin.
What style clothing do you recommend?
Whatever
blows your skirt up! Seriously, styles speak worlds about your
individuality, and don't be afraid to let that shine. Just a few tips
to help you with your apparel choices. Darker colors are slimming;
bright colors are better for photos. If you have muscular arms,
covering them with sleeves, or even a fishnet bodystocking will help to
feminize. Purchase clothing that fits you, that's not too tight or that
you are swimming in. If you can find someone to alter items, you can
have an affordable custom fit! Keep in mind an article of clothing
designed by one designer to be a size 12, may be more like a standard
size 14 by another designer.
If you order from an online catalogue source, often they will have size charts
that will help to determine your perfect size.
And on the last note: Have fun and enjoy your freedom, but avoid walking and traveling alone, stay
observant, and follow these guidelines on the LAMBDA site. Click here!
